KaluNnate Oji – Managing Director
Kalu Nnate Oji attended Ohafia High School, Ohafia, and obtained his ‘0’level certificate in division one in 1980. He holds The Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with Distinction from The Federal College of Education, Pankshin, Plateau State (1984), a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with second class honours upper division from University of Nigeria, Nsukka (1992) and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with emphasis in Management from Abia State University (1999).
He started his banking career with Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (1994) where he worked in various departments and gained wide experience in mortgage banking activities. He subsequently moved to Harvard Trust Savings and Loans Limited (Mortgage Bankers) in 2007 as Corporate Development Manager/Special Assistant to the Chairman.
From there he joined the services of Ohafia Microfinance bank (2010) as Financial Controller and rose to the position of Managing Director in 2011.
Oji has attended industry and personal development courses, workshops and seminars in Financial Management, Product Development and Marketing, Capacity Building, Human Resources Management, Managing Microfinance Banks, Risk Management, Financial Analysis and Financial Performance Monitoring etc. He is a certified Microfinance banker and a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
Mrs Mabel Kalu Abiayi – INTERNAL AUDITOR AND SECRETARY TO THE BOARD
Mrs. Mabel Kalu Abiayi (B.Sc; MCIBN) She attended Federal Government Girls’ College Gboko, Benue State and University of Lagos, Akoka Campus Yaba-Lagos. She is a Chartered Microfinance Banker and a member of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. She has Seven (7) years experience in different units in Microfinance Banking namely; Customer Relations, Operations and Internal Audit and had undergone some training and seminar programmes.
She has been the Secretary to the Board since 2010 carrying out her duties diligently. She had equally worked for the former Prudent Merchant Bank Ltd, ANOVIC & ASSOCIATES AND PSAMS and went through training and seminar programmes.
She is a member of The Lord Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries and a Chosen Indeed.
Pastor James Agwu – Head, Credit & Development
Pastor James Agwu attended Army Day Secondary School Ohafia, where he obtained his Senior Secondary certificate in 1992. He equally had his National Diploma (ND) in 2000 and Higher National Diploma (HND) in 2003 both in Mechanical Engineering from AkanuIbiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana, Afikpo in Ebonyi State. Meanwhile he is doing his post graduate studies at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike,Abia State.
His banking experience spans over 20 years with special interest on the grass-root banking operations. Employed as a clerical officer in 1994 at the former Ohafia Community Bank Nig. Ltd (now Ohafia Microfinance Bank Ltd), Pastor Agwu has steadily risen to different ranks and positions which include; Book-keeper, Acting Accountant, Secretary to the Board, Credit and Development Department, Senior Banking Executive and Head, Credit and Development, a position he is currently occupying.
Pastor Agwu has enormous experiences from various Managerial and other Trainings, Seminars, workshops and courses he attended. These range from Product Development, External Auditors trainings, Risk Management, Synopsis of Accounting Systems, Financial Analysis & Projections, Loan Administration, Strategies & monitoring, customer care & Service delivery, Managing Microfinance Bank, Internal Control, Information Management etc.
He is a certified Microfinance Bankers and member of the Chartered Institute of Nigeria (CIBN).
Amajuoyi Herbet Nnabuihe – Head,Banking Services Department
Mr.AmajuoyiHerbert Nnabuihe attended Bishop Shanahan Secondary School, Orlu where he obtained his Secondary School Certificate (WASC) in 1978. He got his HND degree in Accounting from Federal Polytechnic Oko in 1996.
Mr Amajuoyi started his banking career with Union Bank of Nigeria in 1979 where he worked in various Departments/Branches in several capacity and gained wide experience in retail banking activities and general bank management. He left Union Bank of Nigeria in 1996 as manager (group 6) and later developed much interest in community banking when he joined Anuka Community Bank as OperationsManager in 1996. He later moved to Anaedo Community Bank in 2005. He managed the Bank profitably and successfully converted the bank to microfinance institution. He joined Ohafia Microfinance Bank Ltd as Head of Banking Services in 2009, the position he still hold.
Mr.Amajuoyi has attended various Middle/Top management and Personal Development Courses, Workshops and Seminars in Computer, Credit Management/Monitoring, Bank Operation and Services, Equipment Maintenance/Control, Bank Organization and Method, Fraud Mechanism/Detection, Human Capital Development, Capacity Building/Utilization, Microfinance Bank Management, Risk Mitigation, Best Customer Service Delivery Approach, Product Development, Financial Analysis/Performance Monitoring etc.
He is a certified Microfinance Banker under the auspices of CIBN (member).
Peter Ikpo Nwankwo – Ag. HoD Administration
Mr Peter Ikpo Nwankwo, Ag. Head, Administration Department was educated at Presbyterian Church of Nigeria School (now Community School) Ndi Uduma Awoke, Ohafia. He went to Government Technical College, Ania-Ohafia and had his WASC/GCE ‘O’ Level. He holds a Diploma (Business Administration) from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Diploma in Computer Studies from IBM’s Data Processing & Management Services (DPMS), Igbosere, Lagos. He is a Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) from NIIT, Port Harcourt. Presently, he is a final year student, Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT) for a B. Sc. (Economics) degree.
Mr. Nwankwo joined the Bank in 2003 (Ohafia Community Bank Ltd) having worked for UTC Nigeria PLC (Water & Power Engineering Division), a multinational conglomerate based in Apapa – Lagos. He also worked for Dorman Long & Amalgamated Engineering Co Ltd, Lagos –as an Administrative Officer supervising over 450 Staff Technicians -various professional grades/trades for construction of the 3rd largest crude oil buoyed in the world for Shell BP Unlimited.
He is CBN/NDIC/CIBN Microfinance Certified Practitioner (MCP), a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN)and has attended trainings in Capacity Building for Microfinance Banks,ESUSU Banking Software Implementation & MIS.
Mrs.Uzo N. Ukpai – Financial Controller
Mrs Uzo N. Ukpai holds a Diploma in Accountancy from the University of Calabar and a B. Sc Degree in Accountancy/Education from Imo State University.
She has 23 years banking experience. She started her banking career in 1992 at Ishiagu Community Bank Limited, Ebonyi State, as a Cashier and later joined Ohafia Community Bank Nigeria Limited. (now Ohafia Microfinance Bank Limited) in that capacity. She has risen steadily from that position to Supervisor, Banking Executive, Acting Financial Controller and now the Financial Controller of Ohafia Microfinance Bank Limited.
Mrs Ukpai has attended various internal and external training/courses on the operations of Microfinance Banks in Nigeria.
Mrs. Nnenna Nnoke – Head, Risk Management & Compliance
Mrs Nnenna Nnoke had her Senior Secondary Certificate from Ohafia Girls’ Secondary School. She equally obtained Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Abia State University, Uturu.
Her banking experience spans over 15 years from Community Banking to Microfinance Banking. She grew in the profession from Cashier, Supervisor, Banking Executive II and now Head, Risk Management and Compliance.
Mrs. Nnoke has gained huge experiences from various trainings and courses which includes Transforming Community Bank to Microfinance Bank, ESUSU Banking Software & MIS, Interim Capacity Building for Operators of Microfinance Bank in Nigeria, Enterprise-wide Risk Management Programme,Anti-Money Laundering & Counter Terrorism Finance.
She is a Certified Microfinance Banker and a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
Mrs. Ijeoma John Onwuka – Head, Marketing Department
Mrs Ijeoma John Onwuka joined Ohafia Microfinance Bank Ltd in 2009 after completing her NYSC. She had previous working experience with Trans-Atlantic Mortgage Bank PLC, and Equator Microfinance Bank Ltd, all in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State. A graduate of Urban and Regional Planning from Abia State University, Uturu, Abia State, she had her Secondary Education at Obio Comprehensive College, Rumumasi, Port-Harcourt.
Since 2009, she has been heading the Marketing Department effectively with excellent results.
